How to enjoy aromatherapy from the comfort of your own home.
In a world where we literally can’t leave our homes (this blog gets better, I promise. Stick with me to the end), there are few ways that we can easily and affordably ease some of the burden that we as a society face on a daily basis.
#Aromatherapy is a tried and true way of entering that sweet spot of true happiness, however, with social distancing and unemployment plaguing the world, aromatherapy seems to be the least likely solution to some of our stress. Well I’m here to tell you, that it’s a lot easier than you may think.
Read on to discover some simple ways you may be able to gain some semblance of sanity all from the comfort and convenience of your own home.
Aromatherapy sessions are pretty much impossible at the moment with the aforementioned #socialdistancing protocol in place. Plus, who has the money to book a session? (checks online pricing…hundreds of dollars?!? I’m in the wrong business.)
That’s where businesses like myself come in. Over on the store side of things, I offer many scented candles that will ease your stress, take you to a place of pure Nirvana, and at a fraction of the cost of what you would pay by going somewhere to do literally the same thing but in a strange place, catered to by individuals who are no doubt judging you. (I’m onto you judge-y. Yes, Ben and Jerry’s Pints ARE single serve!)
If you do a search on the internet, (I mean you’re already here, may as well take a peek) there are many small candle businesses that are willing and very able to serve all of your candle needs while observing #Covid19 safety parameters. They’ll even do it with a smile on their face and pack each shipment with love. And best of all you’ll be #supportingsmallbusiness and you’ll most likely gain a new friend in the process.
You can make your own
No, seriously you can literally make these thing without leaving the house. Candle supply companies like Nature’s Garden, Candle Science, The Flaming Candle Company, and Aztec candle supplies will gladly ship out all the supplies you need right to your front door. There will be links at the bottom as well as some affiliate links to some Amazon listings to get you started.
Some fragrances you’ll want to look out for are:
These of course are simply starter fragrances and I encourage you use this as a stepping-stone to find more fragrances that you enjoy.
Don’t stop at candles
Candles certainly the gateway drug when it comes to aromatherapy, but they certainly do not stop there. Wax melts and diffusers are an easy and inexpensive way to fill your home with stress reducing fragrances.
Diffusers and melts are a set it and forget it way to easily unwind after a rough day of homeschooling, working from home, or just dealing with the same people that you’ve dealt with for the last two month’s straight. Don’t get me wrong, you love them, but absence makes the heart grow fonder, am I right folks.
Here’s a video from Candle Science that shows you how to easily make a reed diffuser and they conveniently sell all the supplies you’ll need to get started.
